Everyone is going to have an after party when Prom ends. Usually your school will have one...but lets be honest. That sounds pretty lame. Sure, it might be fun to sit around some kids house who you aren’t really even friends with and feel itchy, tired, smelly, and hungry all night. Or, you can try something different. Here are a few alternative ideas for after prom events!
Midnight Movie
After you’re done dancing, change into your casual clothes and grab some buttery popcorn! A lot of local movie houses host midnight movies that are funny, scary, and cult classics. Laugh with your friends as you watch a horrible B-movie zombie flick into the wee hours of the night. Maybe you’ve always wanted to try a Rocky Horror Picture Show experience! After prom is the perfect time to do the Time Warp...again!
Beach Bonfire
If you’re lucky enough to be near water, you can host a beach bonfire. Celebrate the end of your school year with some comfy clothes, the smell of roasting marshmallows, and the salted sea. Hopefully your beau brought his guitar as you and your closest friends enjoy sing-alongs. Or maybe you’re happy he didn’t bring the acoustic guitar. He’s cute, but a terrible singer.
Late Night Diner
What better way to end prom than to spend it at your favorite 24 hour diner? Get your favorite comfort foods of fries, burgers, milkshakes, or double decker pancake surprise. Even a slice of pie sounds just about right for the end of the night. And if you spill on your dress, who cares? Prom’s over anyway.

Pool Party
It’s getting close to summer and what better time for a pool party then after prom. How great will it feel to swim and float around the pool instead of being stuffed into heels and a scratchy gown? Relax poolside as you and your friends stare into the glittering night sky and remember this night for the rest of your lives.
